Previous year, Monster introdued the its “Beats by Dr. Dre” over the ear headphone. The Beats got good reception and the Beats were followed by another model from the manufacturer, named Tour, which was in-ear headphone. The Turbine is the latest addition to Monster’s line up of headphone. The Monster headphones offer stylish design and the same is true of Turbine in-ear headphone.
Priced at $149, the Turbine has been able get attention with lavish packaging which makes you feel that you have bought something special. The box is a padded black case which sports magnetic clasp for keeping the box closed. The main concern that a user have with in-ear headphone is that whether they will fit comfortably. To solve this issue, the Turbine is provided with five pairs of silicone eartips, three of which are of standard and two sizes of triple flange. So, it will not be difficult for you to find best fit for your ears.
The most impressive feature of the headphone is their design which makes the headphone look like high end device. The overall construction is better than most in-ear headphones. The Turbine has chromed, metal body which makes the headphone more durable and little heavier than other in-ear models. A 45-inch long cable starting from the earpieces ends in a gold-plated straight 3.5mm plug. The cable is less tangle prone as compared to other headphone cables.
The design of a headphone is not important when compared to the sound quality. The Turbine neither disappoints with its design nor its sound quality. When compared to $299, Etymotic ER-4 in-ear headphone, the Turbine offers better sound quality as the Turbine sound more like speaker and doesn’t flatten dynamics. The Turbine headphone provides good quality sound throughout the frequency range. The high-ends and low-ends sound pretty clear with minimal noise. Turbine provides consistent bass and treble tonal balance for entire frequency range. The Turbine headphone also costs much less than the competition and provides better overall sound quality.
