The images and specs of Motorola’s upcoming Droid have finally been revealed. Though the company tried a lot to keep them secret, the news are always made to leak. So is quite clear from the news that has recently been surfaced around. It says that Motorola Droid is an Android-capable phone, which is to be introduced through Verizon Wireless.
The leakage of Droid’s specs was made while Motorola made an accidental display of the product page. Rumor has it that, the Droid handset will come built-in with a 5 megapixel camera and it also offers support for Android 2.0 operating system, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
According to the published webpage, the Droid also comes built-in with a Webkit HTML 5 browser, which will be made available with Flash 10 from 2010. Powered by 550MHz processor, the handset also comes built-in with a 1,400mAh lithium ion battery, which is capable of providing up to 11 days of standby time and 6.4 hrs of talktime.
Measured with 4.6” x 2.4” x 0.5”, the Motorola phone comes with the weight of around 6 ounces. The page was also reported to have leaked out some additional features, such as; Micro-USB port, 3.7-inch touchscreen display, 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a 16GB microSD card.
The Droid is also regarded as the iPhone killer, which is Verizon talking of these days. it appears that Verizon and Motorola are also about to host a united media event on October 28, which the companies will exploit to make official announcement of this handset.
Though leakage of any product’s specs and features keep the mobile phone buffs aware a bit, in fact, the privacy of the company is dented. But, in this case, nothing can be done as it is only because of the advanced technology that has provided us with internet which is today easy to access anywhere.
