When all the tech giants are exploiting the advent of CES or Macworld to showcase or refresh their products, why Motorola should be left behind. So, say hello to its three cell phones, including the MOTOSURF A3100, W233 Renew and VA76r Tundra. Let’s start our journey with one of its only phone, to be ruled by its touchscreen. The MOTOSURF A3100 is the adjacent analog of the company to the iPhone and principally focuses on its 2.8-inch, 320×240 for the gamut of its input. For example its new customizable front end claims to provide speedy access to Facebook or calling plus live updates of weather and messaging.
Besides, it boasts of a trackball, which offers input without resorting to the existing stylus or while a finger is rough enough. Plus, the phone is claimed to have a feature set, which is not afar from Apple. The MOTOSURF A3100 comes featured with an assisted GPS & Wi-Fi, 7.2Mbps HSUPA-based 3G, a 3-megapixel back camera, a front VGA camera for video calls, plus giving support to microSDHC up to 32GB, which sets it apart from its challenger. Also, the MOTOSURF depends on Windows Mobile 6.1 for its interface and makes use of Microsoft’s platform for media playback. The device also gives support to the 850MHz band for both 3G and calling and will be available in North America within the first three months of the year.
Let’s talk about the W233 Renew, which, the company claims, is a budget but fully eco-friendly headset, as the plastic housing has utterly been made of used water bottles and is completely recyclable. Not just that, its box has also entirely been made from used paper, while Motorola helps in offsetting the carbon footprint left after making the device. The headset is a dual-band GSM phone, which doesn’t come with camera but a microSD slot, which is capable of holding around 2GB for the headset’s quick-access media player. The phone is expected to be released in winter, in the near future, it is confirmed to be rolled out in the USA via T-Mobile.
Last but not the least is the VA76r Tundra that has overtly been developed for AT&T and its push-to-talk network. The clamshell claims to be ruggedized to the US military’s 810F standards as it is not just shockproof but also weatherproofing and is still integrated with mainstream traits such as; it has a 2-megapixel camera, media playback as well as video capture. Besides, it touts to support 3G over HSPA and GPS too. The phone is expected to be carried by AT&T on January 13th with the price tag of around $200 that comes after a rebate and signing a two-year contract. So, say hello and enjoy Moto!!
