20 years of computer system building and this board is the most finicky, most problematic board I’ve ever had the displeasure of installing. The specs indicate that the RAID is hardware based – it is only half way there! You can’t rebuild the array in BIOS making RAID 1 worthless for the OS. The BIOS is so buggy, simply loading Vista becomes a chore of clearing the CMOS multiple times. If you set the onboard video memory to anything but AUTO, the memory gets truncated (mine went from 8GB to 2GB simply by setting the onboard video memory to 256 from 128). I had BSOD some 30 times just doing a simple install, swapped out memory twice, hard drives 3X (Hitachi, Seagate & WD). Totally incompatible with WindowsVista x64 SP2 (if you get that far). After the 3rd day of monkeying around with this junk, I gave up. This is my first MSI board to contend with (I thought BioStar was finicky) – never again! $175 paper weight. These boards are made in mainland China (and it shows!).
-1 star from a seasoned engineer. Buy only if you have money/time to burn!
