On November 10, 2008, Navigon announced its latest portable navigation device, the Navigon 8100T. The most distinguishing feature of the device is its Panorama View 3D. This new feature brings a true 3D experience to the navigation. The device uses NASA’s terrain height data to display the road with surrounding landscapes and digital elevations. The Navigon with its 4.8-inch display and graphic guidance gives you really impressive 3D views.
The Navigon gives the Real-Time traffic updates for life without any additional fees or registration process. The traffic updates allows driver to route around traffic congestion, accidents and provides the re-routing through alternate routes. Its Bluetooth helps you concentrate on driving while you still stay connected. With its Bluetooth speaker phone, you can hold conversation without getting distracted and keeping both your hands on the wheel.
Navigon 8100T offers you advanced voice recognition to specify your destination by speaking the address. In case any mishap happens or there is any situation of emergency, you are just a click away with 8100T’s “Direct Help”. It gives you contact information about nearby hospitals, police stations.
The Lane Assistant Pro gives you clear lane guidance of a coming exit or turn. It gives you detailed road geometry and lane map with arrows. 8100T is equipped with latest generation of software developed by Navigon which enable you to enter and get information with very few clicks. Navigon’s user interface guides you through every entry process.
With 8100T’s built in ZAGAT guide you can easily find places to dine or stay. The guide lists more than 27,000 hotels, nightclubs, attractions and golf clubs spanning across U.S. and Canada.
The Navigon 8100T costs $599 and will be available by the end of November 2008. In addition to that, you can also buy Navigon’s optional FreshMaps for $79.99 and you will get up to 12 map updates over the next three years.
