Nero BackItUp and Burn Reviews
Nero has always been on the top of the game when it comes to CD/DVD burning software. The various intricate options available for editing made this software one of the best in the market. However Nero’s software inundated its users with large amount of options which seemed rather cumbersome even for advanced users. Nero has now recently released the Nero BackItUp and Burn which is one of the easiest software to use.
The BackItUp option allows the users to upload and store their data online securely. Apart from that there is an option of retrieving deleted files is one essential feature. The security oriented application also allows the administrator to block usage of the product without admin privileges and a kids control system can be applied to ensure the family PC remains safe. The Express function deals with multimedia burning and the Nero Rescue Agent helps to recover lost data.
The interface on the latest Nero is similar to its predecessors with very simple editing options and user friendly controls to endure safe and smooth use. Data can be burned to DVDs, and even Blu-ray. The Image/Project/Copy options are displayed via large icons to make it much easier. The advanced options are simplified with tags and information to ensure easy usage. The Rescue Agent however seems complicated but rather effective.
The Rescue Agent uses Fast or Deep scan to search and retrieve data from the damaged storage. This tool is very viable in case accidental deletion of any useful personal files. The Burn and Recovery options are basic but the BackItUp options remains tricky, but nothing that a review of the manual cannot fix. The online homepage is available in the Nero interface which can be used to backup, restore or synchronize any file. Options such as Mirror, Update, Add Types, Copy, Enhance etc can be hard to comprehend.
The Nero BackItUp and burned unfortunately unable to detect external SATA disks which makes it harder to use portable hard drives. The online storage is subscription based and not included in the price of the package. Overall despite of its high ask price of $50 it is undeniably useful and authentic software. So if you are ready to backup, recover and burn data than the Nero BackItUp is worth it.
