Measuring 4.4 inches high, 1.9 inches wide, 0.5 inches thick, the Nokia E75 is another addition to the E-series handsets. Though the handset is little hefty but the build quality is excellent. The handset feels solid in hand and will fit your pocket easily.
The handset boasts of a 2.4-inch, 16 million-color QVGA screen, which dominates its front. The display looks brilliant due to its sharpness and automatically adjustable brightness, courtesy light sensing technology. The navigation array consists of a Navi key, back key, Talk and End/Power buttons, two soft keys, and shortcut keys for contacts, messages and Home page. The Navi key is nothing other than the directional keypad that you find on any other handset. The shortcut keys also doubles as controls for specific tasks when you press them for long time. The navigation keys are adequately spaced so that you can have fast and error free typing.
The E75 uses the slider mechanism to access the QWERTY keyboard. The QWERTY keyboard has large and well separated keys. Other external real state includes micro USB port and microSD card slot that are located on the left spine. The right spine houses volume rocker along with mute/push-to-talk button, and dedicated camera control. The camera lens along with flash and self portrait mirror is located on the rear of the handset.
The Nokia E75 runs on Nokia’s S60 platform, which you find on other E series handset. The main features of the handset include new Nokia Messaging application that supports numerous e-mail accounts. The handset allows supports editing and viewing of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. The handsets Web browser allows you to view sites like YouTube, courtesy Flash Lite 3.0. Other features include integrated GPS, Wi-Fi, quad-band world roaming, speakerphone, voice recorder, speed dial, conference calling, voice commands, mono and stereo Bluetooth, calculator, clock, currency converter, Adobe Reader, and ZIP Manager. The handset also allows you to encrypt the data on your SIM card or memory card.
The E75 sports a 3.2-megapixel camera, which offers lots of editing features. These include red-eye reduction, 8x digital zoom, self timer, autofocus, white balance, color effects, and much more. The built in camcorder can capture videos and the video mode features include white balance, five quality settings, and scene mode.
The Nokia E75 has rated battery life of 5.2 hours (GSM)/4 hours (3G) and up to 11 days of standby time.
