Nokia intros Booklet 3G in US

Nokia-Booklet-3GIf you’re US citizens and curiously awaiting the Nokia Booklet 3G, then your wait is over as the most-anticipated mini laptop is now available in the US. The launch of the device comes as a result of the joint-venture among the Nokia, AT&T, Best Buy and Microsoft.

The Nokia Booklet 3G boasts of bringing personal computer and mobility experience at a stretch in a sleek form-factor. It’s also compatible with Windows 7 and obtains its power from the Intel Atom. Weighed not more than 2.76 pounds, the powerful device also touts to offer up to 12hrs of battery life.

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, president and CEO of Nokia, was quoted to have said that there is no other company like Nokia that knows mobility better. Yes, it is Nokia that understands that the most powerful or robust device is the one, which doesn’t let you run for network point or power plug. With the integration of the Booklet’s sleek design, striking features and gung ho price with the latest Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system, Best Buy’s matchless national retail footprint and AT&T’s countrywide 3G coverage, we think of having an appealing blend for U.S. consumers.

On the feature front, the Nokia Booklet 3G comes included with  built-in A-GPS with Ovi Maps, 10.1-inch HD-ready display and the latest version of Ovi Suite, which allows  users to make an effortless synchronization with a Nokia mobile device.

Measured a little over 2cms in thickness, the mini-laptop also comes with an HDMI port for HD video out. Plus, its front facing camera works as a unique selling point. It proves to be of high use for video calling. It is also featured with a built-in Bluetooth as well as an effortlessly accessible SD card reader. The Nokia device also boasts of being built-in with 3G/ HSPA and Wi-Fi.

The Nokia Booklet 3G is available for purchase at Best Buy stores and at over 50 Best Buy Mobile unique stores with an initial cost of Rs $299.99. It also comes with AT&T Data Connect plan 2-year activation and is slated to be made available in stores by mid-November.

  • Thanks for the review. I really think one has to review these devices with a specific user profile in mind…Personally, I am a writer and can’t wait for Nokia’s booklet to come out. I am looking for a light/small/mobile device with a keyboard, and most importantly, a whole work day (and a long one..) worth of battery power!!
