Internet is really a boon, not for one, but for all the reasons. What a good time it is when you bump into the leaked details of unreleased products before the official announcement from producers. That is why it was not surprising for me today, when I chanced upon an article that was talking all about NVIDIA’s 2009 GeForce GTX 295. Though the card has already had its 1st photo session, now it has come forward to show itself to all technology aficionados and anyone else having interest in it.
The two graphic processors specified on the card are developed on NVIDIA’s latest 55nm process technology that is finally should offer backup for a higher performance level. The card itself is likely to be launched and showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show next year, slated to be held between the 8 and 11 of January in LasVegas, Nevada.
Specific information about the technical features of the card has not been made available currently, but one glance at the image placed on Vr-Zone is expected to provide you little clues with regard to what to look forward to.
As with NVIDIA’s GeForce 9800GX2, the latest GTXX 295 is claimed to be highlighted with two GPUs set on two different PCBs, a solution, which is poles apart from that of AMD, which makes its dual-GPU card by setting the 2 graphic processors onto the same PCB. The card features 2 DVI ports and 1 Display Port, and is touted brags of the similar sandwich-like design as the before-stated 9800GX2.
Given its striking size, and the reality that it has to power two of NVIDIA’s new GT200 GPUs, the card is displayed with an 8+6 pins power connector combo, which is supposed to be you a general idea of how much power the card is going to ask for. As it happens with all the officially unreleased products, pricing info for NVIDIA’s GTX 295 have not so far been released, it is yet to come.
