After successfully launching its Pen E-P1, Olympus is in news again. Now, the company has come up with its latest E-P2 Micro Four Thirds camera, which is claimed to be more powerful than the E-P1. Similar to E-P1, this Pen camera is also touted to be the smallest 12.3-mp interchangeable lens system of world, which boasts In-body Image Stabilization.
This Pen camera is also claimed to merge high-class still images, like; stereo Linear PCM audio recording, DSLR with Hi-def video and In-Camera Creativity in an ultra-portable body. Its eight in-camera Art Filters are also easy to use for HD videos and still images.
Its chic retro black metal body also resembles a usual Pen camera. An accessory port with the device also helps hold the optional external microphone adapter EMA-1 or integrated removable VF-2 Electronic View Finder (EVF). Besides, its Continuous Autofocus (C-AF) Tracking System checks the object across or back-and-forward with the help of the frame. The device also has two latest art-filters, such as; cross process and diorama, which help provide better-quality creativity in HD videos and still images. Its iEnhance is also able to make mechanical regulating of the contrast and color for an extra impact.
The Olympus TruePic V Image Processor complements the Live MOS image sensor. It also helps generate colorful and clear images with the help of all the pixel detail for every photo to make available the better-quality digital images. Besides, its full manual control of shutter/aperture also proves to be of high use for the use of movie mode.
The E-P2 also comes handy for the consumers, who love to focus and compose through a point-and-shoot camera’s LCD, as it brags around 100% precise, and its 3-inch full color HyperCrystal LCD claims to provide flawless, simple experience while capturing the still videos or images. The Dust Reduction System, on the other hand, helps produce spot-free images with the distinctive Supersonic Wave Filter. The camera also comes featured with a Multiple Exposure function, which users can use to capture shots in whatever way they want to.
E-P2 is slated to be made available from December, 2009 with the expected price tagged $1099.99 (approx Rs. 51,490).
