Opera Mobile 10 for Windows based mobiles

Opera10-MobileSoon after the launch of a mini browser for Java-enabled phones and a standalone mobile browser for Symbian Series 60 handsets that adheres to Opera Mini 5’s master design, Opera has now come up with its latest version of Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows phones. Opera claims that the new innovation offers its users a desktop-type experience and is similar to Opera 10 for desktops. The latest version is a successor to version 9.7 that had been launched earlier this year.

The Opera Mobile 10 starts off with a customizable Speed Dial screen, composed of nine preview thumbnails which take you to your favorite site with just a single click, which is especially useful for a touch screen phone, since the icons are big and finger-friendly. It is equipped with tabbed browsing to open multiple pages in a single window which is certainly a better option than opening multiple windows, a password manager and its super compressor, Opera Turbo, which accelerates the download of content by compressing the content and resizing images for mobile sizes.

The browser has been given a totally revamped look and looks quite similar to Opera Mobile 10 for Symbian, which in turn looks similar to Opera Mini 5. The features on offer in the new browser include intuitive new interface with a modern look, touch screen, advanced compatibility to allow access to almost all sites from the mobile phone and also smooth surfing. Among other features, Opera Mobile 10 can now save images from pages even in offline mode, and also auto-completion of URLs, which are sure to come handy on a mobile. But still there’s no Flash to be seen though.

The Opera Mobile 10 beta is now available for Windows mobile phones which allows users to have a rich browsing experience from their handsets than is usually the case with built-in and other third-party web browsing tools. The new version is based on the desktop browser engine and allows its users to access web features such as AJAX on your mobile phone.

Windows Mobile owners can now download the latest version of this browser free of cost by navigating to m.opera.com/mobile/ from the mobile or www.opera.com/mobile from the desktop.
