Orange & Google get united to catch Mobile App Market in Europe

google-orange In its new bid to reach the European customer and offer them mobile application, Orange has inked a strategic partnership with Google. This mega agreement will result in the best content and search innovations from both the companies.

What is amazing is that users can have one-click access to Google Mobile App through the Orange homescreen and it will make accessing mobile search and geo-location services easier than ever. This latest app has the potentiality of advanced search and comfortable access to the Orange mobile portal along with other Google products and services.

Orange has plans to release the Google Mobile App with a phased approach and make it available for Orange Signature phones, which is touted to provide better user experience. For the time being, Orange offers instant access to Google Search from the homescreen on Signature Android handsets with extra services, such as; Orange TV. Customers in the UK and France are now free to enjoy Google mobile search results with relevant content from Orange’s own mobile.

Orange signature devices, which are being used in operating Symbian S60, Microsoft’s Windows Mobile and RIM (BlackBerry), can be enjoyed by the users of Google Mobile App in future. The good news for Orange customers is that they can have greater access to content and tools for superb services. The option of downloading mobile apps from the Orange Application Shop is also there. Supplementary services, such as; Google News, Orange mobile portal, Google Mail and Google Maps, will be also available.

Olaf Swantee, Senior Executive Vice President of the Personal Communication Services Orange was quoted to have said that this joint venture will keep us continued to make and deliver the mobile Internet even more all-encompassing to our customers.

The Google mobile application has upgraded to a great extent so that it can bring precise content exclusively available to Orange customers.
