panasonicdmp-b15Panasonic’s portable Blu-ray player, dubbed DMP-B15, which happens to be the world’s first portable Blu-ray player is finally set for shipping. You can now purchase the world’s first portable Blu-ray player with an introductory pop-up price of $800. The DMP-B15 portable Blu-ray player was first introduced in the Consumer Electronics Show, 2009 by Panasonic.

A single charge of the device provides you with a continuous exceptionally clear entertainment of 2.5 hours. The Panasonic DMP-B15 is marked with a WSVGA display of 8.9 inches. Other functionalities adopted by the Blu-ray player include VIERA CAST Internet accessibility of Panasonic, BD Live functionality and an SD card slot.

The DMP-B15 is featured with high quality image processing technology known as PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus. The most important part of the device is its easy-to-use functionality with a rechargeable battery of three hours. The device can further be connected to an HDTV with the help of HDMI cable and can be used as a standalone Blu-ray disc player.

You can even connect the player to an AV receiver compatible with HD-Audio and with a home theater speaker system to enjoy movies and music with amazing surround sound feature. The device also gives an optional headrest mounting bracket for use in the car. The VIERA CAST functionality allows the user to access the entertainment sites including Amazon Video-on-Demand, YouTube, Google Picasa Web Album, Bloomberg and a weather channel too.

Like other Blu-ray players, the DMP-B15 is also equipped with an SD memory card slot that allows you to view and share your digital photos and HD videos recorded on a SD card. The DMP-B15 has been built with all the technologies found in other standalone Blu-ray players.

The player is designed to provide highest level of image quality and high definition experience of Blu-ray. With the introduction of the Panasonic DMP-B15 portable Blu-ray disc player, you can take this entertainment device wherever you travel.
