High performance, high density, low energy consumption, compact are words that come directly while talking about pureSilicon’s 1TB Nitro Series SSD. Las Vegas, NV – CES was the point of attraction where pureSilicon demonstrated its world’s first Solid State Drive to obtain 1TB – rather a great leap for the storage industries.
The 1TB Nitro Series is the most compact SSD with 15.04GB per cubic centimeter in a 2.5 inch form factor., which is considered to be three times greater than the available Solid State Drives. Four of these Solid State Drives delivering 4TB occupies the same space as a standard 3.5 inch Hard Disk Drive. As the features, this Nitro series amazingly high performance solid state drive is designed keeping in mind the applications like server, networking, datacenter, supercomputing and professional media where the key factors are data throughput and power consumption. Applications, which require very fast transfer speeds and massive data storage, the pureSilicon’s 1TB Nitro Series, is the ultimate solution. Some of the other featured parameters that best describe this Solid State Drive include 300MB/s SATA-11 connectivity, 240MB/s sustained read rates and 215MB/s writing rate. . When active it consumes 4W and in idle state it consumes as low as 0.1W.
The capacities available for this high density Solid State Drive are 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1024GB. The reliability of the product ranges from 0°C to +70°C at operating temperature and -45°C to +85°C at non-operating temperature. The shock at operating stage being 1500G, 0.5ms duration, half sine wave while the vibration at operating stage being 20G peak, 10~2,000Hz, x3 axis. Although the 1Tb Nitro Series has been introduced with a reduced size, but still it is quite thicker for standard notebooks and ultramobile devices. To overcome this drawback we have to look forward for the next generation version of 1TB Nitro Series Solid State Drive.
