Rumours of 4th Generation iPhone

Arguably Apple’s best product till date, iPhone is back in rumors. This time, it’s great news for millions of iPhone users. A well known analyst Robert Chen from Goldman Sachs commented that Apple is expected to launch advanced fourth generation iPhone as soon as June or July this year. He said that people can expect a better camera (maybe 5 megapixels) and a better touch-screen control from the new generation phone. He expected new touch-screen casing to be similar to what Apple currently use in Magic Mouse. We are aware that Magic Mouse touchscreen was capable of detecting gestures and it could help user operate some specially designed apps like Safari browser using these gestures.

He said that Apple has put in some serious thoughts in this product. They are not interested in just solving bugs and follow some feedback issues to make next generation phone. They are interested in genuine innovation as Steve Jobs promotes creativity and innovations. So, he thinks that fourth generation iPhone will not be a simple hardware upgrade, but also a major breakthrough in software, especially UI aspect.

He also expected Apple to make important changes to core operating system of iPhone that would help them improve its performance. Experts believe that Apple will have time the release perfectly to compete against rival products like Google’s Nexus One smartphone which has some pretty cool features like a brilliant 5 megapixel camera and crystal clear OLED touchscreen. Apple must upgrade its current iPhone specification of 3 megapixel camera and LCD display.

Some other rumors also suggested that new iPhone would contain radio-frequency radar (RFID) which would be able to scan for secure RFID tags and transfer files wireless to a receiver operating on same frequency. This theory is also supported by a news report that Apple had filed a patent application for RFID antenna which was supposed to be placed in touch-sensor panel of iPhone. It would be great to have some truly new and innovative features included in new iPhone. Some other features that could be present in 4th generation iPhone improve removable battery pack. People had asked for change in Apple’s policy of not providing external battery pack with previous iPhone. Let’s hope for the best with new iPhone.
