Samsung full HD camcorders
Samsung seems to be on a roll here. Samsung launched four full-HD camcorder models at CES, Las Vegas. The four new models include the HMX-H200, HMX-203, HMX-H204 and HMX-H205. All these models have a very impressive feature set with great value for money aspect. Many features of these camcorder models are common and are previously tried out by Samsung. Samsung makes use of newest technology like BSI CMOS sensor which is capable of handling light absorption at very low light conditions. Performance and great image quality is assured when you use this revolutionary new technology.
Use of powerful optics with 20X optical zoom feature and 37-mm wide H series lens can fulfill needs of every consumer. Advanced features like image stabilization technology can also be found in these four camcorder models. These camcorders also have a 2.7 inch swiveling touchscreen for previewing shots being taken. With full HD resolution support, you can snap shots at 1920p resolution. Scintillating image quality is assured with this kind of resolution. The touchscreen is also used to access different functions of the camcorder models.
The camcorders can capture 4.7 megapixel resolution still shots. While 4.7 megapixels doesn’t seem to be enough for professional photographers, it could suffice to needs of everyday photographers. These H-series camcorders can also record a single movie file with 720p resolution. For storing all the captured data, Samsung makes use of built-in high speed SSD storage system.
With no moving parts, SSD system doesn’t disturb photographer while shooting or capturing a photo. SSD also offers great performance with high speed data transfer possible over USB connection to a desktop computer. SSD technology is also used in HMX series camcorders thanks to low power consumption which results in performance of the camcorders.
While these four camcorders are not meant for professional photography, they are more than good enough for general purpose photography. They won’t be priced too high as they lack many advanced features that are present in newer models of Samsung full HD camcorders like Wi-Fi. Plus, they can capture still shots with mediocre 4.7 megapixels resolution, which is not even close to good enough. Pricing details and release dates are not yet announced by Samsung. But we can expect them to perform pretty well when they are released.
