Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 arrives UK via T-Mobile

After successfully launching Galaxy Portal i5700 as Galaxy Spica i5700 in countries such as Russia, Canada, Samsung is now all set to hit the selves of UK market. Also christened as Galaxy Spica i5700 outside UK, the Galaxy Portal i5700 is now available to grapple at T-Mobile. The Galaxy Portal i5700, though now running Google’s Android 1.5, is soon to be updated with fresh flavors of the OS.
So, if you aren’t aware what the device has on the feature front then let me tell you the all new handheld has a 13.2mm thick body and comes integrated with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display and a lot of options for letting you get connected. Yes, the handset comes built-in with HSDPA, quad-band GSM, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
In addition, the Galaxy Portal i5700 is also adorned with the features of GPS receiver, an internal memory of 180MB, and a 1GB microSD card, which is expandable for additional storage space. The phone also comes included with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a media player with in-built video compatibility for H.263, MPEG4, WMV, DivX and H.264.
The Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 also comes featured with a 3.2mp photo snapper and a battery, which has the capacity of providing a talk-time of around 5hrs. Plus, the handset is also crammed with extra glaring trait, like built-in enhanced-reality browser Layar that allows users to point their gadget all around the globe and get details about image on the mobile phone.
The new Android-based handset will shine at T-Mobile UK only for February, while the black Galaxy Portal will be for three months at the same carrier. The cell phone can be availed without any charge, but a £18 monthly plan that is also inclusive of 200 mtns and texts, and could be bought for £70 on a combi plan from T-Mobile too.
