US Cellular intros Samsung Gloss flip phone

samsunggloss_sch-u4US Cellular is said to have come up with the launch of their brand new Samsung Gloss (SCH-u440) mobile handset. This slim, compact and flip phone is incorporated with a QWERTY keyboard, which guarantees faster texting.

The all new Samsung phone comes featured with 1.3mp camera, music player and stereo Bluetooth for handsfree communication. In addition, it is also capable of giving support to around 16GB external memory. The Samsung Gloss has the dimensions of 2.55 inch x 2.94 inch x .82 inch dimensions, and comes featured with a 2.2” QCIF 262K TFT screen.

Alan D. Ferber, Chief Marketing Officer at U.S. Cellular, was quoted to have said that Customers are on the look-out for more and more out of their mobile handsets daily. The Samsung Gloss comes integrated with a full QWERTY keyboard that can be used to text with ease. Other than that, the phone comes integrated with music player and camera that all jointly make this phone an all-in-one and unique device.

Samsung Gloss also comes featured with US Cellular’s easyedge service. The service is so helpful for users that they can use to make access to Your Navigator with voice turn-by-turn directions. Plus, it comes with news, games and entertainment as well.

In addition, Samsung Gloss also comes built-in with City ID and Tone Room feature. A ring tone shop, Tone Room comes with all genres updated music. The caller ID feature is capable of displaying the state and city of incoming calls.

Though when I had a look at the image of Samsung Gloss, I was excited to know whether it will have more colors or not, but I found charcoal and pink colors, I was more pleased than ever as I have had color of my likings.

Samsung Gloss is expected to be made available via U.S. Cellular retail locations and at uscellular.com, but as to its pricing details there is no word on its information, it may take some more time to come, but we will be keep waiting.

Great phone, but like someone commented, it doesn't hold many texts. It holds lot of pictures though. (Right now I've got like 125 on it) Photo quality is better with outdoor lighting. Indoor lighting makes the picture more blurry. I haven't had any issues of the battery not lasting. I charge it in the evening and it runs pretty much all day. The charge time is insanely fast! The keyboard is a good size, easy to text. One thing I've not been able to figure out is why the phone will vibrate out of the blue. The phone's on ring, no missed calls, checked everything... Strange. My husband's phone hasn't done the mystery vibrate yet. Overall, great phone!

the phone itself if very decent and durable. One problem I have with it tough is it only holds 70 inbox text messages, and 30 outbox.
