Samsung Instinct Review – a sturdy competitor of iPhone

Measuring approximately 2.2 x 0.5 x 4.6 inches in dimension and weighing approximately 0.3 lbs, the ‘Samsung Instinct’ is sleek in its design and similar to PDA in style. This PDA style mobile phone is very popular for its messaging and GPS navigation and is packed with loads of powerful and easy-to-use features. Unlike other touch screens, the Samsung Instinct touch screen display reacts on depressing and does not have a keyboard. When you depress the screen, the buttons gets pushed. You can use stylus, finger-nail or finger-ball for navigation.

The ‘Turn-Off Screen’ button is placed on the topside of the phone. One of the unique features of this mobile gadget is its spell check correction similar to T9 and notifies you with a signal if you type anything wrong. Besides all these, the Samsung Instinct is integrated with good Internet connection, streaming TV availability, a quality camera and a fast processor and last but not the least a very good battery. All these features make the phone user-friendly, easy-to-use, fast and flexible features that are customizable. The Samsung Instinct is also very popular for its GPS navigation.

Sprint offers its customers with a 2GB Flash Card with 2,000 songs pre-recorded from the music store. You can download additional songs for just 99 cents per song or can download from your PC – without any limitation. The integrated memory is extensible upto 8GB. The Samsung Instinct phone is all packed with a battery (lifetime of 5.75 hours of talk time) and 3.5 headphones. A major difference as compared with iPhone is that the Samsung Instinct is running on an open source platform and as a result all types of Java applications can be added easily.

Although it is one of the finest devices of Sprint so far, but needs lots of improvements too. The Samsung Instinct mobile phone is lacking in Wi-Fi and Instant Messaging service. Also, the quality of call and video is below level of satisfaction. Also, the device has a small internal memory, the camera does not have enough editing features and the Internet Browser also requires refinement.
