Mobile Phone resembling a large packet of chewing gum – Samsung Juke SCH-U470 – red (Verizon Wireless)

Measuring 3.28 x 1.18 x 0.83 inches in dimension and weighing around 2.82 ounces,as its review, the Samsung Juke SCH-U470 is a lightweight, stylish and small enough to resemble a bigger packet of chewing gum. As per looks are concerned, integrated with a spun metal scroll wheel, styled with swivel technology and with a small display of 1.45 inch, the mobile phone is really fashionable and stylish. The backlight time and brightness can be adjusted manually, as well as the dial fonts style and size too. The most fascinating feature of the phone is its smooth swivel opening in order to reveal the keypad. The phone is designed with a phone book of 500 entries where 5 numbers can be entered in each entry, 2 email addresses and notes. You can also pair up the contacts in a group, by pictures for Caller ID or one out of 11 polyphonic ringtones. There is a camera lens and a speaker on the back of the Juke, and on opening the phone you can see a self-portrait mirror. The Samsung Juke SCH-U470 is available for $99.99 from Verizon Wireless and comes with a contract period of 2 years.

Samsung Juke SCH-U470 Mobile phone Specification:

  • Cellular Technology: CDMA (Band – 800/1900)
  • Wireless Technology: Bluetooth A2DP Interface
  • Talk Time: Upto 180 minutes
  • Standby Time: Upto 250 hours
  • Phone Features: Vibrating Alert, Voice Recorder, Speakerphone, Voice Mail, Polyphonic Ringer, Alarm Clock, Calendar, Digital Camera and Digital Player

  • Battery: Integrated Lithium-Ion
  • Messaging Features: SMS, Internet Browser, Java applications, Mobile Email with XHTML Browser and EMS, MMS Services
  • Additional Features: Intelligent Typing (T9), Swivel Style and Integrated Antenna

Samsung Juke SCH-U470 is more a music-focused phone than a technology based. It is lacking in many of the general technical features as compared to other similar phone, which is really disappointing.

Features Lacking:

  • No 3G or V Cast support
  • No Expandable Memory Slot
  • No Video Camera
  • You have to turn the phone upside down in order to read the screen when it is closed
  • Keypad is a bit crowded with sleek keys and somewhat little delineations between the keys.
