Samsung-Mythic-SGH-A897Last year AT&T launched a new broadband service -live mobile TV. The only handset that supports this service is Samsung Eternity, which was also launched last year. Now the Samsung has launched another handset that supports this service. At first, the Samsung Mythic aka SGH-897 looks like just another touch screen handset from the Samsung but it offers some unique features. The Mythic supports Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, which offers excellent navigation experience. Other additions are menu customization and plenty of multimedia features. The Samsung Mythic comes for $199.99 with service contract from AT&T.

At 4.49x2.06x0.5 inches, the Samsung Mythic looks is designed with rounded corners that make it look like other touch-screen handsets. The edges have silver chrome finish, and the casing is made of glossy plastic, which is black in the front and burgundy patterned at back. The Mythic has large 3.3-inch touch screen, which looks brilliant due to its 360x240 pixel resolution and 262k color support. The TouchWiz interface allows you to make full use of this great touch screen. You get three menu screens, which can be customized with various applications and shortcuts. The Mythic has all the features of a texting phone, which include built-in accelerometer, handwriting recognition, alphanumeric keypad and virtual QWERTY keyboard.

The Mythic comes with all the basic features that you might need. From vibrate mode, text messaging, MMS, calendar, speakerphone, the Mythic has every thing that you will ever need. Its advanced features include integrated GPS, Bluetooth, IM, voice commands, PC syncing, USB mass storage, mobile e-mail, full HTML browser, and 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities.

You also get all the broadband service from AT&T as the Mythic is a 3G handset. You get full access to AT&T Video Share, AT&T Mobile Video, AT&T Mobile Music, and the best of all, the AT&T Mobile TV. You can watch live TV on your mobile via AT&T Mobile TV from providers like ESPN, CNN etc.

The Mythic promises 3 hours talk time and 10.5 days standby time.
