Samsung NC10 Review : Great keyboard & 7hr battery make it a winner

Samsung NC10 netbook has become the talk of the town since it has been rolled out in the market. Now the point is after all what does it have that everyone is talking about it. What magic the Samsung NC10 netbook has done that it has become an apple of every body’s eye. Let’s talk about it. The new Samsung NC10 is welcomed by all and sundry as the best 10-inch netbook launched to date. It has almost beaten the favorites like the MSI and Eee PC 1000H.

I think the forte of Samsung NC10 is its long battery life, which is capable of lasting up to 7 hours and 34 minutes, with the built-in Samsung Battery Manager 2.0. Among all other netbooks available today, this is touted to be the longest battery life. Weighing 2.8 pounds (with its six-cell battery) and measuring 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 inches, the NC10 (in size and weight) resembles to its competitor 10-inch netbooks, the 3.2-pound ASUS Eee PC 1000H and the 2.6-pound Lenovo IdeaPad S10 and MSI Wind.

Besides, the NC10 is almost half an inch longer than Lenovo’s S10, but nearly the equal length as the Eee PC 1000H and the MSI Wind. The NC10 also accommodates the standard netbook ports, comprising a 3-in-1 memory card reader, 3 USB ports, a VGA port, mic and headphone jacks, plus an Ethernet jack. Not like Lenovo’s S10, the NC10 doesn’t have an ExpressCard slot for adding a mobile broadband modem card, however you are allowed to utilize a compact USB modem.

Now for sure you would have known why the Samsung NC10 netbook is all the rage among the people.

Samsung NC10 features:

• Ports: 3 USB 2.0, Ethernet, Headphone, Microphone, VGA, 3 in 1, SD Card Reader
• Wireless: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR
• Integrated Graphics: Intel GMA 950 64 MB VRAM
• Display: 10.2? TFT Display at 1024 x 600 pixels
• Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home
• Dimensions: 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 inches
• Processor: 1.6-GHz Intel Atom N270
• Hard Drive: 120 GB HDD, 5400 RPM
• Chipset: Intel 945 GSE Express
• RAM: 1 GB DDR2 RAM
• Weight: 2.8 pounds
