In a bid to augment its family of mobile phones, Samsung has joined hands with Nuance to roll out its T9 and XT9 predictive text input products. Nuance’s T9 and XT9 are touted to be the most widely acknowledged predictive text technologies, which allow easier and faster texting of emails and SMS. The keypad format also helps users enter URLs rapidly.
Samsung claims to offer innovative predictive text abilities to an extensive array of users in all of its markets as the T9 and XT9 are attuned with more than 80 languages. It is also capable of offering Nuance’s latest predictive text facilities on any of its mobile devices, alongside those, which run on the operating systems of Samsung itself and others such as; Symbian, Windows Mobile and Android. The T9 and XT9 can presently be availed with some all the rage Samsung devices globally.
Hyoungmoon No, VP, R&D Planning Team, Samsung Electronics, said that our global consumers ask messaging innovation, so a key dimension of our phone design strategy is what can be done to make it easier and faster. As the reviews, this extended affiliation with Nuance lastly allows the global consumers to send emails and messages within a short span of time and rapidly type in URLs, and a lot more, on any handset brought out by us in the market.

The predictive texts help users make simple swapping between input modes and alternate between letters, symbols, numbers and languages. As the features, the XT9 also boasts word correction and self word completion, which is said to help decrease general spelling mistakes due to tiny sizes of key on touchscreen and conventional QWERTY keyboard. Besides, the XT9 also helps users fast enter URLs on the mobile phones, which are with an HTML Web browser.
So far, there is no word as to the availability and pricing of theT9 and XT9, but as soon as it comes we will let you know.
