Samsung Trill – a music phone from U.S. Cellular
The new Samsung Trill is a music phone, which offers all the basic features along with some advanced features and good music application. The Samsung Trill is available via U.S. Cellular but it shares lot of features with Verizon Wireless’s Samsung Trance. The Trill can be purchased for the price of $19.99 from U.S. cellular with a $50 rebate.
As mentioned before, the Trill looks quite similar Samsung Trance and designed with curved casing. The casing has curved edges that the overall design more attractive. The glossy dark blue front will definitely act like a fingerprint magnet. Probably, you will have to keep cleaning is every now and then. Other than there is no issue with the design of the handset. The casing is compact as the handset is has dimensions of just 4×1.97x 0.55 inches. You won’t feel the device when you put it in your pocket as it weighs just 3.53 ounces.
The Trill features a very impressive and colorful display, which is 2.1 inches across. The display looks saturated with colors due to its 262,000-color support. The images and text looks good on this 176×229-pixel display. The menus and icons looks well on the display, and all the menus are intuitive. The user interface is intuitive and simple but you cannot change the menu style. You can navigate through the menus via four-way square toggle, which surrounds the central OK button. Other navigation controls include two long keys, each of which actually performs three different functions.
The top of each button acts as soft keys, the middle of the left key acts as shortcut for messaging menu, while the middle on the right button acts as shortcut for contact list. The bottom on the left acts as shortcut for music application, while the bottom on the right acts as Clear key. Other physical controls include dedicated camera button, Send, and the End/Power keys, 3.5mm headset jack, volume rocker, speakerphone key, charger jack and microSD memory card slot.
The Samsung Trill has good features set with some attractive features like 1.3-megapixel camera with self-portrait mirror, wireless Web browser, voice command, stereo Bluetooth, USB mass storage, speakerphone, alarm clock, world clock, stopwatch, multimedia messaging, vibrate mode, calculator, calendar, and a notepad. The handset can accommodate up to 16GB memory cards for storing your music files, which can be played on its great music player. The music application supports 3D sound, visualizations, and multiple equalizer settings. You can also switch off the wireless signal to enjoy your music without any disturbance.
