Samsung intros Xplorer B2100 rugged mobile phone

Samsung has come up with the unveiling of a new phone, which is listed as the Samsung Xplorer B2100. The specifications and design of the mobile phone make it a versatile and robust device, which is claimed to be a great option for those who love adventures.
This IP57 certified mobile phone boasts of meeting the Military Standard 810F specs and is capable of resisting shock, dust, harsh temperatures. And the most important, it boasts of withstanding water submersion around one meter for almost 30 minutes. Since the cell phone comes covered in anti-shocked urethane material, it is also capable of withstanding bumps, bangs, scuffs and scrapes.
JK Shin, Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile Communication Division at Samsung Electronics, was quoted as saying, “Samsung Xplorer is the perfect companion for consumers who enjoy active outdoor activities. With the launch of Samsung Xplorer, Samsung will be able to solidify its position in outdoor phone market and continue to make products that excel in durability and usability.”
Asits reviews, the Samsung Xplorer B2100 is measured up to 113 x 49.5 x 17.2mm, and comes built-in with 1.8 inch display screen. Besides, it also comes integrated with 1.3 megapixel camera in conjunction with flash and video recording capabilities, FM radio. It is also capable of giving support to a variety of video and audio formats such as 3GP, MP3, AAC, WMA etc.
Last but not the least; the B2100 comes integrated with a range additional features like: it has noise cancellation technology, flash light, support for microSD card slot. Its battery boasts of offering around 9 hours of talktime and up to 600 hours of standby time.
The Samsung Xplorer B2100 phone is scheduled to be rolled out in Germany and other European countries in April 2009. There is no pricing details of the phone up till now, but as and when it comes we will let you know.
