Sandisk brings Cruzer USB drives for Federal Government employees


sandiskedition8gbData security is given utmost priority all over the world. In order to supply the customers desirable data security, Sandisk has launched its highly reliable Cruzer Enterprise secure USB flash drives. These flash drives meet rising demand of the government employees.

The Sandisk USB drives comply Military Standard 810-F environmental standards. The greatest advantages of these flash drives are that these devices will be of great use for the visually-impaired under Section 508 requirements.

Certified under Military Standard 810-F 506.4 and 512.4, the Sandisk flash drives prove to be of high use in protecting data in military and healthcare units, these sectors are very prone to data loss.

SanDisk updated the Cruzer Enterprise product line to fulfill the requirements of a much broader range of users. By reconfiguring the USB drive’s GUI, Sandisk has enhanced the accessibility of important information technology to the visually-impaired.

Yariv Fishman, Director of Product Marketing at SanDisk, was quoted to have said that the waterproof design of the drive is an ideal fit for soldiers, health care professionals and anyone else who is in need of safeguarding his/her critical data from harmful contact with liquid.

Founded on Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Sandisk USB drives allow disabilities to access federal agencies’ electronic and information technology. The Cruzer Enterprise’s (GUI) has been reconfigured to enhance accessibility for visually-impaired users. As the features, the devices also compiles screen reader software, which restructures the Cruzer Enterprise’s GUI with the help of text-to-speech representation or using a Braille output device.

The company is also planning to introduce Common Access Card (CAC) and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) functionality on the flash drives in conjunction with DoD and FIPS 201 standards.

The Cruzer enterprise drives provide superior control and flexibility over the lifecycle management of the device.

Sandisk has not disclosed the price and availability of the device.
