Sanyo Electric has announced the availability of its new gallery of Xacti Dual Cameras. The company claims the video cameras boast of redefining digital imaging by offering greater and superior flexibility, shooting both still videos and photos.
The latest varied form factor (Vertical, Horizontal) array of five cameras consist of new compact HD units (DMX-CG10), waterproof HD models (DMX-WH1, DMX-CA9), and Full HD 60p cameras (DMX-FH11, DMX-HD2000). The DMX-HD200 is expected to be released first in early February.
The Full HD models brag of coming built-in with high-tech and best of the breed high-speed image processing engine, which is capable of allowing HD2000 and FH11 to help in recording two times the amount of data that is currently done by the common interlace formats. The incorporated still camera is also capable of shooting 8-Mega-pixel photos anywhere and anytime, even simultaneously whilst recording Full HD movies.
Additional attributes for the HD Xacti cameras are 8GB included memory (DMX-FH11), high-speed video capabilities (240 fps/600 fps) for slow-motion playback (1/4, 1/10 of normal video speed) and the cameras can also work well with around 32GB SDHC memory card, and consistency with the “Xacti Library” which makes allowance for saving, indexing and playback of pictures and videos from an external hard drive.
The watertight models, DMX-WH1 and DMX-CA9, have obtained IPX8 (full water submersion) founded on JIS C 0920 water-resisting guidelines. The DMX-CA9 can be immersed to 1.5m; while the DMX-WH1 can be submerged to 3m.
The compact model, DMX-CG10, comes integrated with a ‘Face Chaser Function’ for movies and stills, a motion correction (anti-shake) function, as well as a 3-inch, 230,000 pixel-wide LCD monitor.
Apart from all that the cameras can also be hooked up to computers and television, plus, they are also capable of sharing videos in the AVC/H.264 format. All of the Sanyo 2009 video cameras are said to be all HD-ready.
