Since the rolling of the first digital camera, it is now pretty possible to capture video recordings by still cameras. But with the rolling of the Sanyo’s Xacti dual camera, the boundary line between still and video cameras becomes even more blurred. The Sanyo Xacti dual camera range has the ability to capture still images with 60 fps video recording simultaneously.
Capturing a happy moment is all possible in the midst of video recording, just by a press at the shutter button. The Sanyo Xacti dual camera range includes models, which are in both horizontal and vertical form factors apart from waterproof models. The range also include choice of Compact / Standard HD of 1280 x 720 pixels and Full HD of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The range includes the world’s first full HD 60 fps progressive cameras as well. The video capturing in Sanyo’s Xacti dual camera is done in AVC/H.264 format on flash memory that includes SDHC memory card or built in memory. All the models of Sanyo Xacti dual camera series are sported with a three inch LCD screen with a comparatively longer battery life. The Full HD DMX-HD2000 and DMX-FH11 is capable of recording continuously for up to 135 minutes and can even take 8 Megapixel still photos simultaneously while recording Full HD movies. The Sanyo’s Standard HD VPC-WH1 horizontal and VPC-CA9 pistol waterproof models offers a battery life of up to 200 minutes of shooting time and also can be fully submerged to 1.5m and 3m respectively.
As the features, the Sanyo’s Full HD pistol grip DMX-HD2000 and horizontal form factor DMX-FH11 are available in the stores for just USD $600 and $500 respectively. The horizontal waterproof VPC-WH1 and VPC-CA9 pistol cameras are expected to hit the stores very soon for USD $400 and $350 respectively. On the other hand, the Compact HD VPC-TH1 is expected to go for USD $300 and the VPC-CG10 for USD $200.
