It was in early February 2009 that Sony announced that it was bringing forward its new model, the Cyber-shot DSC-W290. The strange part about this announcement was that Sony claimed to price this model below the $250 mark and announced state of the art features in this model.
Many users thought such a camera was too good to actually get launched. But now that it is in the markets, you have a reason to enjoy. The Cyber-shot DSC-W290 is a 12 megapixels camera that features an optical zoom of 5x and features a variety of advanced shooting options typically found in Sony’s high end models.
