Sony Cyber-shot T900 digital camera reviews

sonycyber-shott900Sony cameras have a reputation of making a strong mark in the market. The models from the Cyber shot series have been no exception in this regard. The Cyber shot series of cameras have been great on the design front and impressive on the performance front. The new Cyber shot DSC-T900 is an impressive 12 megapixels camera of this family.

This camera is loaded with many impressive features. The camera features a 4x internal zoom lens that boasts of stabilization. The best part about this camera is that it features a touch screen display of a size of 3.5 inches and the resolution of this display is about three to four times the resolution of the displays of standard LCDs in cameras. The price of this camera is also high because of these features. The camera is priced at $380.

The camera measures about 3.9 inches × 2.3 inches × 0.6 inches and weighs about 5.2 ounces. The image sensor of this 12 megapixel camera is of the size of 1/2.3 inches. The 3.5 inches big LCD of this camera boasts of a resolution of 921 K dots. The camera features both electronic image stabilization and mechanical one. The battery of the camera is a lithium ion rechargeable model and lasts about 200 shots on a single round of complete charge.

The back of the camera just features a huge screen. The navigation around the camera takes some time to understand but becomes very comfortable later. The touch screen is very sensitive to touch and offers a variety of controls. The onscreen menu on the camera consists of Home, Menu, and Display options.

The T900, being a snapshot device, lacks manual controls for aperture and shutter speed. The camera features Sony’s Intelligent Auto, working with which is a whole new experience. The start-up time for this camera is around 1.4 seconds and the device takes only about 2.2 seconds between back to back shots.

The image quality from this camera is very decent with excellent exposure and colors. You may find the colors a way too vivid but overall the feel is good with little noise and color fringing. The camera also features HD movie capture with recording on 4x optical zoom. Overall, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900 comes across as an excellent, compact, and speedy snapshot camera that is worth its price tag.
