The Sony Ericsson C510 handset, earlier listed as the Sony Ericsson Kate, hasn’t yet had its official announcement, but thanks to Daily Mobile, we are now able to feast our eyes on this mid-level CyberShot phone. The latest C510 is claimed to be the descendant of Sony Ericsson K770 with augmented “Cyber-shot” functions opposed to its precursor.
As its reviews, the Sony Ericsson C510 comes built-in with a 3.2-Megapixel camera, which is capable of performing face detection, autofocus and smile shutter. Smile shutter is an avant-garde technology that lets the camera automatically capture a picture when the subject in focus gives a smile. The camera package is also packed with Xenon flash and active lens cover.
The Sony Ericsson C510 phone also claims to provide the Cyber-shot UI 2.0 displayed on a 2.2-inch QVGA screen. The integrated memory is 160MB, which is to some extent restricted for shutter aficionados. Additional specs, to be availed in C510, are: QVGA video, auto rotation while viewing, dedicated shutter key, Picture light, direct blog short cut key, illuminated imaging shortcut keys, smile shutter, illumination by varied theme /mode, blue illuminated imaging short cuts, print service Snapfish and direct download and upload to YouTube.
Let’s take a rundown at its cutting-edge features below:
• 3.2Mp camera with AF and QVGA video
• 160 Mb built-in memory + M2 card slot
• Illumination by different theme/mode
• Download and upload to YouTube
• Blue Illuminated imaging shortcuts
• Face detection, BestPic, Photo fix
• Auto rotation when viewing
• Direct blog short cut key
• Dedicated camera key
• Photo and video light
• Print service Snapfish
• 2.2? QVGA display
• Cybershot UI 2.0
• Active lens cover
• Smile Shutter
Personally, the Sony Ericsson C510 handset cannot be called a revolutionary device, but it is supposed to be a nice mid range camera phone. The C510 is likely to land sometime in February 2009.
