Sony Ericsson C902 Review

Sony Ericsson C902 is another addition to the Sony Cyber-shot series. The phone has a sleek and appealing design with loads of features. You can’t get it from U.S. or Canadian carrier but you have to buy it unlocked in North America. Sony priced it at $549 but some online retailers sell it for $349.

The C902 has a 2-inch screen with a resolution of 320×240 pixels. Sony Ericsson mobiles are known for their display and C902’s display is no exception to that. Its bright and have vibrant colors. The users can change the brightness. The Sony Ericsson C902 has option for choosing three different menu styles and each user interface is appealing and easy to operate.

The C902’s navigation array consists of central Ok button, two soft keys, talk and End/power keys. Although the keypad buttons are somewhat raised but they are cramped. So, some users might find it difficult to operate.

The most attracting thing about C902 is its 5-megapixel camera. The C902’s camera is not visible directly; you need to slide up the phone’s top end to expose the camera. Sliding will start the camera automatically. The pictures can be taken in four resolutions, form simple VGA to 5-megapixel. But the camera falls short on its picture quality. Although the colors in the images look natural, but they look a bit washed out. Also, you will notice some noise around smaller objects.

Another strong point of the phone is its great call quality. The users will definitely enjoy conversing with C902. Its audio is loud and sharp, and also there is very less static interference from other electronic devices. You’ll get decent sound quality with the speaker phone but it’ll be a bit distorted a high volume.

The music quality is not as good as offered by Sony’s Walkman phone series, still it’s quite enjoyable. The speaker gives you an average output but the best experience is offered by headset.

The Sony rates the battery of C902 with 9 hours of talk time and around 16 days standby time.
