Sony Ericsson C905 reviews – 8 megapixel camera phone with excellent features

Nowadays, the cell phone manufacturers are launching 8-megapixel camera phone and Sony is also among them with the launch of C905. The handset’s 8-megapixel offers a large number of advanced features such as red eye removal, BestPic, Smart Contrast, Xenon Flash and Image Stabilisation.

Measuring 104 x 49 x 18mm and weighing 136g, the C905 not only offers excellent camera functionality but it also offers all the latest and advanced features that you will find on high-end devices. The C905 supports Quadband and is equipped with Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Accelerometer.

The C905 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display which offers the native resolution of 240×320 pixels and the screen is covered with scratch resistant glass. Two shortcut keys are located just above the display. One shortcut key shows the last captured image and the second one is the shortcut to gallery and takes you into the scene mode menu. Seven controls are located below the display which it include Call/End buttons along with D-pad. You can access the keypad by sliding the phone. The keypad is flat and provides nice texting experience with easy typing.

The right spine of the device features volume/zoom controls, dedicated camera shutter key, shooting mode, and preview button. The camera key is lit nicely with blue light and it glows when the camera is in use. The left spine houses a M2 card slot along with Sony’s proprietary charger/headphone socket and there is no 3.5 headset jack, which is a bit disappointing. The back of the device houses the amazing 8-megapixel camera along with Xenon flash, LED light and camera cover which provides extra security to the lens.

Along with excellent 8-megapixel camera, the C905 features GPS and Geo Tagging enables you to tag the images with the location where they were taken. Moreover, the handset is equipped with Google Maps and a trial version of Wayfinder Navigator which provides turn by turn details of while driving. Like portable GPS device, the built-in GPS provides you with POIs which allow you to get details for various restaurants, bars and businesses area of your choice. The C905 supports Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity for accessing the net with good speed.

The Sony Ericsson C905provides the talk time of 9 hours and 380 hours of standby time.
