Sony Ericsson GreenHeart now available in Philippines

The most-awaited eco-friendly handset has finally been rolled out by Sony Ericsson in the Philippines market. Christened as the C901, the environment-friendly handset comes packed with ground-breaking features, and doesn’t harm the environment in any ways.
The GreenHeart handset comes included with a 5-mp camera including integrated Xenon flash. The camera is also claimed to feature Face Detection, Smile Shutter capabilities in conjunction with BestPic, an outstanding attribute of Cybershot devices, which users can use to capture 9 pics with a single click.
Hirokazu Ishizuka, Sony Ericsson corporate V.P. and head for the Asia-Pacific, said that the major ecological advancements from the GreenHeart study like decreased packaging, end of the paper manual and the option of cleaner materials will be carried out in other products in the portfolio.
Users can use the handset if they want to enjoy the viewing of hi-res shots on the 2.2-inch scratch-proof mineral glass display. You are also allowed to send the pics to Web album, blog, Facebook or for online print ordering. The Sony Ericsson handset is also claimed to give support to Facebook and YouTube.
As the reviews, the C901, strictly following the Greenheart concept, also come built-in with an in-phone manual, which helps save paper and provides speedy access to the product support guide. Prepared from 50% recycled plastic, the handset is integrated with the optimized display light sensor, which boasts of consuming less energy. The mobile phone makes use of the waterborne paint, which can reduce up to 15% emissions of carbon dioxide.
The company is also reported to roll out two more products under the Greenheart brand, a speedy Net-based handset including interactive calendar and active desktop. Called as the Naite, the MH300 headset is prepared from 100% recycled plastic.
