Reports are coming from the SonyInsider that material.net, a France-based entertainment retailer, has listed the images and specs of the Sony S-Series Walkman. Thanks to the list, the previous rumors as to the 16GB Sony NWZ-S545 and the 8GB Sony NWZ-S544 now has got confirmed. But what exactly I want to make out is that the Mickey shaped control pad with three circular buttons is intended or just a fluke.
As the reviews, the S-series device, as reported by the website, boasts of including 2.4-inch QVGA LCD screen and 16:9 aspect ratio. The included stereo speakers on the face of the player claim to offer clear and laud music. The player, the company says, has the capacity of offering 6.5 hrs of video and 42 hrs of audio playback. Apparently, these measurements of battery life are said to come with 128Kbps of music quality.
This drag and drop player is also claimed to work well with Windows Media Player and iTunes. The player, in conjunction with the 30 preset FM radio channels, gives support to audio formats such as WMA, mp3 and AAC. As the features, the video formats backed up by the player come included with MP4, H264/AVC and WMV. The video can be played at 30 frames per sec speed. Though the player claims to offer voice recording function through the in-built microphone, it also has the capacity of eliminating the digital amplifier and clear bass.
So for, the company has not made any official announcement for these players, but they are touted to sound and look much better than their S-series counterparts. Reportedly, material.net has quoted the price of these players.
They come with their respective price tag that ranges from €149 (approx. Rs. 10,238) and €129 (approx. Rs. 8,864) for the Sony NWZ-S545 and the Sony NWZ-S544.
I think people keep their prying eyes opened to get the glimpse of latest product. They are ready to inform us about the product which is to be launched in the long run. So is Sony S-Series Walkman, which has somehow got in the wild.
