Sprint Palm Treo Pro phone debuts on March 15


palm-treo-pro-sprintYour wait seems to have come to an end as the much-awaited Palm Treo Pro smartphone is ready to be unveiled on Sprint Mobile broadband network. The mobile phone boasts of being equipped with robust internet attributes and is claimed to be the 1st first Palm phone that comes built-in with Internet Explorer 6.

The Palm Treo Pro phone is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, and tours to allow business users to be hooked up while on the move and at the same time performing their work with great ease and efficiency but for giving up their work efficiency. It comes with a high resolution color display screen as well as a full QWERTY keyboard.

John Traynor, vice president, business products, Palm, was quoted as saying, “Business decision makers require a product that not only integrates seamlessly into their existing IT infrastructures, but one that’s also cost-effective. Treo Pro delivers just that – a feature set that IT managers need to support their mobile work force.”

The Palm Treo Pro phone comes encompassed with one-touch Wi-Fi button and brags of allowing users to hook up fast at home, office or in Wi-Fi hotspots. The cell phone comes built-in with the Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 that is claimed to be capable delivering better security, make access to details on the corporate network and easier smartphone management.

Besides, the phone also allows users to simply be in touch with their family and friends. The handset provides users the Sprint IM in conjunction with access to MSN Messenger Yahoo Messenger as well as AOL service. The Palm Treo Pro phone comes additionally featured with Sprint Music, Sprint TV, Pocket Express. It is capable of providing a talk-time of up to 5 hours and above.

The Palm Treo Pro phone is slated to be made available through Sprint from March 15, 2009. The phone comes with the price tag of around $199.99 after $100 mail in rebate as well as a two year service agreement.
