The leading manufacture of knocked-off and cheap devices, Sungworld has come up with a 7-inch, Android-enabled MID which takes design from the Apple iPhone. The Android MID from Sungworld comes subsumed with an ARM926 processor, a touch-screen of 7-inch and an Android UI, which resembles to the iPhone OS.
The Sungworld 7-inch Android MID isn’t company’s 1st knock-off design, but it had also rolled out $73, 7-inch netbook, which looked a lot like the well-known EEE PC, and prior to that a VAIO-style notebook, produced by the same company, was also the carbon copy of the Sony VAIO logo.
Though gadgets, released by the company, were or are inspired by some or other famous products of today or yesterday, on the hardware front, they have a great difference and do make a niche in the market.
The 7-inch Android MID from Sungworld comes featured with an ARM926 processor, a 7-inch touchscreen display, 2GB SSD, 512 MB RAM, 1080p video playback and Wi-Fi. According to some reports, the latest MID from Sungworld would also be integrated with an HDMI port, which proffers on the move connectivity for HD video’s mobile playback on your home entertainment system.
The iPhone-inspired MID from Sungworld is likely to be shipped in at the very starting of 2010; however, there is no word so far as to the pricing details of it. If Sungworld gets stuck to its brand, it will be expected to be retailed between $budget and $cheap.
Well, I think, copying is also an art, but the inspired-products by Sungworld may be alike in designs and looks, but if we look at its features, they differ a lot and do make a niche in the market. But now what exactly has to be seen here is if the latest product does what it boasts and keeps the legacy of copying designs continue.
