All I can say that the device is perfect for perfectionist.
  • Sorry friends. I am late. Any way, everything has its time. Finally, I have purchased the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Android phone last week. I was speculative whether I could all the features which my iPhone has. Thankfully T-Mobile device has all the desirable features, which geeks like me are looking for. The device works perfectly well. Just try.

I just got the mytouch 3g phone, I upgraded from the mda. with the mda I could use my fingernail to touch the screen when I could I cant do that with the mytouch my fingers are too big for the keyboard anyway you turn it. with the mda I could go anywhere by touching the screen. with the mytouch you have to press buttons off the screen to go back to a menu or to turn the thing on when it goes off or to change menus. it does have alot of applications available. i cant transfer the apps from my old phone though, which are windows mobile programs. I am seriously thinking of bringing this phone back.

i always wanted a touch phone screen ever since they came out with the iphone. however, the reason why i never liked the g1 is beacuse of the way the keyboards were; to actually text, the phone was too wide for me. so thanks for my friend, i didnt get the phone.lol. so i was actually considering to change company to go with the iphone. Now that T-Mobile annouced the upcoming newest phone, MyTouch 3G , i pre-ordered it and now in a couple of days ima be able to have 1st then everyone else!. Im so excided and cant wait to recieve it..Im counting the days til it comes home.lol....

Unfortunately for everyone, T-Mobile USA has THE WORST selection of phones! PERIOD!
Heck, North America has THE WORST phone selections.

Europe and Asia has THE BEST phones since Most of the BETTER phones are made in Asia or Europe!!

T-Mobile ONLY has the most affordable phone plans which is why I'm still using them!
Other than that, customer service in stores SUCK while phone service is Better (but not by much) and the coverage is So-So! I still have sporadic coverage INSIDE my house!!

    Here's the question:
Do you stay because of the affordable phone plans or do you leave because other phone providers have relatively better phone service/coverage but cost more??!! HHMMMM!!!!

BTW... The myTouch 3G phone doesn't look that good compared to other phone models NOT sold here in USA like HTC, LG, Samsung and Sony Ericsson!!

I recently bought the new SE W995 and it's WAY better than ANY T-Mobile phone!!
Pricey but better than T-Mobile's choices!!

SO WHY CANT I GET A NEW PHONE W/O THE FEE. I'LL JUST WAIT UNTIL VERIZON'S IPHONE LITE COMES OUT END OF THE YEAR.

I called Tmobile today I've been a customer for 5 years and I have the G1. They told me the $199.00 price is for all customers even if you do or not qualify for an upgrade.

i am thinking that it wold be easier to just cut my losses and carry my cell # over to get the updated iphone - i have had t mobile for EVER!!!!! and i am still annoyed that loyalty gets you zip on an upgrade!
  • Nay
I Think I Jus Might Have To Buy This Fone Cuz I Was Thinking About Getting The G1...But Since This Is Out Now Imma Just Have To Go & Get It Cuz I'm Loving It!!! LMAO!!
  • Nastacia
I don't understand why the people who are complaining about not being able to get the phone due to their contract don't just upgrade, it'd be the same because you're only extending the contract 2 years unless of course you're planning on leaving t-mobile, if not I don't see the problem.
  • JACK
contract is up july 7th,its between nice phone or better reception, help me decide.give me your best shot!!!
  • ms.leslie dunbar
how much for just the phone
  • Brian M
If this really the much awaited and hyped successor to the G1, why was this phone not rightfully named the G2?? MyTouch 3G is the lamest name I have ever heard and it is obvious that this was a last minute poor decision because all preview pictures and reviews of this phone called it the g2! Its a real shame to throw away the large and loyal g1 fan base n the g series name that built up such a cult following.
  • Andrea
Yeihhh I want this phone... hope is better than the Iphone ! ...
  • I get great reception on my G1...I can't imagine that this would be any worse. If it is there are firmware upgrades to the radio that are easily updated. This phone also has the benefit of all the work on the android OS that has been done since the G1 was released. If you are at the end of your contract I would definitely suggest getting this phone, but wait a month for the less expensive Wal-Mart price.

Ron is absolutely right. What is up T-Mobile? Jacksonville, Florida is one of the largest cities in the nation (land wise) with probably one of the biggest customer numbers within T-mobile and we can't get 3G coverage???? I would venture out and speculate that Jacksonville, FL brings in a lot of money to T-Mobile and the fact that we can't get 3G coverage here is totally disappointing... I don't know if this issue has anything to do with the FCC and/or territory laws but if I was T-Mobile i would be trying really hard to get 3G to Jacksonville, FL or face the risk of loosing customers.

I've had tmobile ever since the sidekicks had first started coming out and all I have left is another year of a contract before I can even consider upgrading and a broken phone that i've had for literally 6 months. Since my warranty is over I have to pretty much pay for a new phone even though I have insurance. I think tmobile is done. Iphone is where it's at.
  • Jasmine
I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!!
  • CK
Ron is right.. Catch up Powertel/VoiceStream/TMobile! Yet, while the phone is looking good, if their signal isn't better I'd rather not waste my money. Verizon is looking mighty good at the end of my contract. Losing signal near a brick and mortar building is almost a given. Forget it inside.
  • nila
I have been with t-mobile for 6 years,I would like to know why I have to wait for my contract to expire in order for me to get a new cell ,I don't think it's fair that I have to wait that long.
  • Latoya
I have the G1 and this is obviously an updated version. I don't think it's right that t-mobile didn't even wait a year to launch this phone but I hope that they at least listened to (and changed all or most) the things that were major concerns/complaints about the G1. I had to go through so much crap just to get my phone replaced after it had only been out for a month and the problems were with the phone! Good luck to the myTouch users/owners.
  • Ron
When will 3G be available in Jacksonville, Florida? C'mon now... we've had a Superbowl, we have an NFL football team, and I've been hanging with T-Mobile since they were Powertel in 1997. T-Mobile needs to technologically catch up with the big guys...
  • Toya
I really wish i could get this phone now it's so pretty. But since i'm a new customer i have to wait to the end of July. THAT"S NOT FAIR!!
