Telmap intros Telmap navigator for Android users


Telmap-navigatorFollowing the successful launch of its Telmap navigator application on various platforms such as; BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian, Windows Mobile and BREW, Telmap is in news again. Now, the company has announced its navigation application for Android users.

Telmap Navigator is now all set to offer relevant, real-time and localized service to users. This multipurpose app is featured with dedicated pedestrian navigation, in-car navigation, local search and content, all within a standalone interface.

The Android navigation application also boasts of real-time turn-by-turn navigation along with 3D moving maps, voice and text directions calling street names.

Oren Nissim, CEO of Telmap, was quoted to have said that Telmap offers strategic back-up for the major mobile platforms with a view to providing a real location experience that is easy to be made available to a large number of audiences on various devices. Android is the platform, which will help drive a more hooked-up and location-conscious society.

The Android-based phones are claimed to offer support for distinctive technology needs, and it is for this reason, they offer a sophisticated user experience in location-based and mobile navigation apps.

Apart from all that, the latest application is also touted to offer real-time traffic details as well as Points of Interests (PoIs), like; parking lots and gas stations and lot more. When the navigation session gets started, there is the conduction of full route corridor download which helps provide seamless and quick re-routing without requiring to get re-connected to the server.

Telmap Navigator for Android can, at present, be availed at Tier 1 operators, such as; Orange, where the service comes without any charge being a part of 5 top tariff plans.

The upcoming months may also have the launch of more operators. Android navigation application will let the Android users enjoy what they have been looking for long. The platform has already been acclaimed, but with this addition, it will surely make a niche in the market.
