TomTom GO 740 LIVE Portable Navigation Device launched

TomTom has launched its first connected portable navigation device to help the travelers to know the routes and locations while they are travelling. Dubbed as TomTom Go 740 LIVE, the navigation device provides a number of significant features like wireless real-time traffic feeds and an exclusive IQ Routes Technology.

With these applications, the TomTom Go 740 LIVE helps users to get real-time traffic speed, incident reports, traffic delays and speed profile data to calculate the shortest route available.

Apart from the above features, the navigation device also provides LIVE services such as TomTom Fuel Price Service, Google-enabled Local Search, TomTom Weather and QuickGPSfix. Thus, the travelers can easily get information about the best routes and travel times even though they don’t access to Bluetooth and wired connections.

Comes with an impressive user-interface, the TomTom device shows data on its 4.3-inch full TFT touchscreen LCD display. It has a  2 GB flash memory. You can extend the memory with microSD support. It also features high-sensitivity GPS chipset, a built-in SIM card and GPRS modem for plug-and-play connectivity.

Measuring 7.9oz and 3.4” x 5.0” x 0.9” (H x W x D), the high-tech navigation device is preloaded with maps of USA, Canada from Tele Atlas. It also supports Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling.

In addition to above, the device also features an enriched Advanced Lane Guidance to provide complete coverage and lane information for multifarious highway junctions. The GPS device empowers the users by offering them volume adjustments, screen brightness and even for making phone calls from the available 130 voice commands.

The TomTom GO 740 LIVE will be available in the USA for a price of $399.95.

    No mention of Bluetooth in entire booklet. Only one sentence on the box . No hands free dialing. You have to take your eyes off the road to punch buttons on dash or windshield to make a call!! Computer voices are terrible compared to the Garmin
