tom-tom-125Measuring 3.8 inches wide by 3.2 inches tall by 1 inch thick, the TomTom One 125 weighs 6.7 ounces. The GPS device is compact so that you can easily hold it in your hand or mount it easily on your bicycle. The GPS provides easy navigation as it supports pedestrian and bicycle routing modes.

The TomTom one 125 boasts of 3.5-inch WVGA touch screen, which has native resolution of 320×240 pixels and supports 64,000 color output. Though the display is bit smaller as compared to other GPS which feature 4.3-inch display, but the graphics looks clear and sharp. But the screen is large enough to clearly display the maps and text. The device is pretty simple and easy to use, courtesy it user interface which is intuitive and features two main menu pages. The icons and text is fairly large in size and the icons are simple to understand. You also have the option to choose various map colors, change the position of the status bar or choose night mode, and lots more.

Though the onscreen QWERTY keyboard is little cramped, the GPS eases the typing providing predictive text as soon as you start typing. You can also switch between QWERTY and ABC format.

The top edge of the device houses a power button while mini-USB port/power connector is located on the bottom. The back houses the speaker along with brackets for attaching the car mount with the help of included EasyPort vehicle mount, both windshield and dashboard. The package also includes a USB cable, a car charger, and reference material.

The One 125 comes with basic navigation features which make the device perfect package for first-time users. It comes with maps of the United States only, and the destination can be entered by address, zip code, city center, intersection, or you can choose from Favorites or Recent destination lists.

The One 125 is capable of providing various routes based on quickest time, shortest distance, with or without toll roads, etc. You can also change to alternative route any time by clicking “Find Alternative” icon and GPS will provide you new directions.

Other features include points-of-interest database, 2D and 3D map view, turn-by-turn voice-guide. One good feature is the “Help Me!” safety feature, which provides critical and useful information in case of an emergency. It also gives you current location, longitude and latitude, and nearest intersections.
