Toshiba intros dual remote Vardia DVRs

Toshiba has recently announced the release of their two latest Vardia-series DVRs, which are known as the 500GB-capacity RD-G503 and the 300GB RD-E303. Both the DVR are not just included with a DVD burner, but they are also claimed to be capable of recording video in MPEG-2 TS and in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC formats. As its reviews, each DVR comes in-cluded with a secondary remote, which brags of providing a limited number of buttons to carry out trouble-free tasks, as well as lets owners put throw the full-function remote asi-de.
Additionally, the Vardia DVRs is also able to upscale standard DVDs to near-HD quality, whereas an integrated ground and BS/110 degree CS digital tuner have been incorporated to accept TV programming. As the features, the users are also allowed to set delete function to leave out partly-recorded TV programs, which are cut while there is power failure to stop wasting hard drive space. Dual-layer and rewritable DVDs are also capable to work well with the Vardia DVRs. Hooking up either DVR to a familiar Toshiba HDTV enables users to have control over either of the devices through a single remote.
The included video DAC comes in a 10-bit/148.5MHz unit and can give support to 1080i or 720p resolutions, whereas the simpler 10-bit/108MHz brags of supporting 480i /480p resolutions. Audio is taken care by a 24-bit/192kHz DAC. Connections on the DVRs are: a D4 connection, an HDMI link, S-video, composite and RCA audio in conjunction with an optical audio output.
The G503 is likely to come in both black and white, whereas the smaller capacity E303 will only come in black. Both Toshiba DVRs are slated to be rolled out on February 1st, with the price tag of up to $790 & $680 for the RD-G503 and RD-E303, respectively. No hint if when the DVRs will be rolled out in other markets.
