The 25.7cm / 10.1’’ FOLIO 100 is a new media tablet from Toshiba. This personal media tablet has been designed especially for those who look for a versatile and hundred percent portable devices.

The all-new Toshiba FOLIO 100 tablet sports a large variety of Android software services and apps that are fully dedicated to Net-browsing, media consumption, and social networking. The tablet also proffers an enhanced multimedia experience.

Enjoyable and user-friendly, the Toshiba FOLIO 100 boasts of Toshiba’s highly intuitive graphical interface, which the company has created to sprint on top of Android 2.2 Froyo.

The pre-installed wide selection of software apps of the tablet are the Opera Mobile (web browser), Document To Go (office suite), Evernote (notes), FBReader (e-book reader), & Adobe Flash 10.1. Besides, the device also comes with Fring application, which, with the in-built webcam, offers video calls to be in touch with family and friends.

Besides, the service of Toshiba Market Place allows for trouble-free access to a variety of download options for multimedia content, apps and services. The 7 Digital-driven Music Place helps users easily access to the broadest lists of music and also allows them sync to a slew of contraptions. Radio Place provides users with the access of a broad variety of IP radio services. Users, via the App Place, can download apps attuned with Toshiba Folio 100 Media tablet.

Weighing only 760g and measuring just 14 millimeters, the Toshiba FOLIO 100 Android tablet, though slim in size, but still has capacity for a robust Nvidia Tegra 2 processor that provides an ideal balancing between low battery consumption and high performance. The tablet boasts of a battery life of around 7hrs and can work the whole working day without requiring a power outlet.

The Toshiba FOLIO tablet, through its instant-on functionality, gets ready to start in not more than 30 secs. A 16GB on-board storage boasts of hosting video, music, emails, photos and additional data. The storage capacity could be expanded through a built-in SD memory card.

The Toshiba FOLIO 100 Android tablet is slated to be made available from October this year at a price point of 400, 00 Euro / £329 inclusive of VAT (non-3G). The FOLIO 100 is also said to be introduced all over Europe, Africa, and Middle East and during 2010.
