Toshiba Regza 55ZV650U LCD TV reviews

toshibaregza55zv650uToshiba Regza 55ZV650U LCD TV is an extremely expensive device to own. It is a 55 inches big panel and is priced around $2,399.99. Now the question is what special features does such an expensive panel have? The answer is that this TV has a lot of features. It features an extremely detailed backlighting system that uses the 120-Hz display technology.

The backlighting is such that it matches that provided in panels that use the very latest 240-Hz technology. This display is extremely energy efficient and boasts of a variety of picture controls. You will find a whole bunch of connectivity options on this panel. If you want to enjoy excellent picture in well lit rooms, the 55ZV650U is just the right kind of TV for you.

The company has dubbed the design of this TV as “Deep Lagoon”. The glossy frame of the TV features metallic trim finishes and an excellent overall design. The TV boasts of a dedicated remote control that houses big buttons. A downside here is that the keypad of the remote lacks backlighting and doesn’t glow in dark. The TV is excellent in terms of connections. It features four HDMI ports, VGA and RF ports, a USB port, and an SD card reader slot on its body. You get a maximum resolution of 1,360 by 768 pixels from the VGA input. From the HDMI input from a PC, the resolution of the TV increases to 1,920 by 1,080 pixels. The TV supports a variety of multimedia file formats, namely, DivX, JPEG, and MP3.

The 55ZV650U features an AutoView mode that makes use of both the room lighting and incoming video signal to make the picture quality optimal. The color accuracy in this mode is overwhelming. The advanced picture settings menu on the panel lets you alter white balance, color effects, brightness, etc. The reflections on the panel are minimized by the use of Samsung’s Ultra Clear Panel technology on the “CrystalCoat” glossy display surface of the panel. The panel is excellent in converting 1080i video to 1080p. The 55ZV650U is also very energy efficient and offers an operating cost of about $3.30 per month at 189 Watts. Overall, the Toshiba Regza 55ZV650U LCD TV is one of the best LCD televisions with the 120-Hz technology.
