Verizon Wireless announces the LG Versa phone with detachable QWERTY keypad


lgversaVerizon Wireless has finally made an official announcement of the most-anticipated LG Versa phone of which the company claims is the most versatile mobile phone that comes with chic bar design and boasts of various attachments in order that users can modify the cell phone in accordance with their liking or style.

Boasting of the phone, the company claims that the LG Versa not just comes a detachable QWERTY keypad, but it also allows its users a choice to either leave the QWERTY key-pad at home or attack it. Plus, the handset comes with a 3 inch LCD screen along with an animated 3D interface. The users are also allowed to customize 3 different home screens with 3 different layouts. The LG phone also boasts an accelerometer that claims to help in automatically rotating the screen from portrait to landscape mode.

As thefeatures, the LG Versa has a 2-MP camera that brags lots of functions such as image editor, 2x zoom, video recording capabilities, autofocus, SmartPic and face detection technology. The handset also comes built-in with a MP3 player that is capable of playing music even while you are at other works such as; browse the web, sending messages as well as edit contacts.

Moreover, the phone boasts of Verizon Wireless V Cast Video & V Cast Music services. The V CAST Music with Rhapsody service claims to let users buy songs from a set of over 5 million while V Cast Video can be used to download and stream a variety of all the rage videos.

As its reviews, the LG Versa phone is also claimed to be capable of giving support to full HTML browsing, flash and RSS feed. Users are allowed to retain to 3 windows open at a time. Additional facets include: GPS support with VZ Navigator, Visual Voice Mail, Mobile Email, Bluetooth connectivity, a 2.5mm headset jack, microSD card slot with backing around 16 GB, 1100 mAh powered battery boasting a talktime of around 290 minutes and a standby time of around 430 minutes.

The LG Versa phone is slated to be availed from March 1, 2009 with the price tag of around $199.99 after $50 mail in rebate and with a two year service contract.
