UK telecom giant has introduced their latest Wi-Fi access gateway- Home Femtocell Box. Their previous version was a little rusty with technical problems developing over time and customers were not really satisfied with its performance. Vodafone seem to have launched improved version of the same product again with some new features added. Plus, to attract old customers again, Vodafone has reduce its price significantly. Now we can hope that Vodafone has made enough improvements to get back the customers that they lost due to slightly disappointing product.
Vodafone has also given their old product a new name- Sure Signal. This time we hope that the Wi-Fi access gateway lives up to its name. Vodafone Sure Signal works with a high speed broadband connection with minimum speed requirement of 1Mbit. The Vodafone access gateway is capable of then distributing available bandwidth on a high range 3G reception. You don’t need to get any reception from your service provider for you to be able to make use of wireless connectivity. Vodafone Clear Signal is able to create its own network by throwing out electrical signals in all directions.
Advanced features of Vodafone Clear Signal include handset connectivity over 3G network. You can use up to 32 handsets with Vodafone Clear Signal-generated 3G network. Up to four handsets can be used in at once without any kind of disturbance of interference. This will hopefully eliminate all network problems that Vodafone users may be facing due to weak signal in their household from the service provider itself. But, Vodafone has cleverly made sure that their new device will be beneficial only to Vodafone users. Their Clear Signal device supports only handsets that are using Vodafone network. Interestingly, the Wi-Fi access gateway cannot be cracked so customers with other mobile networks can either change their network or switch to some other product.
But, changing network is no always necessary. Out of many big names in networking and telecommunication industry, at least one service provider will have fairly good network at your home. So, you won’t need to buy the access gateway for about $81. Vodafone has apparently launched a wide online campaign promoting their newest product ant ‘promising’ its customers about network reception. With ability to amplify default reception in about 50 yards radius, Vodafone Clear Signal is one of the best products available in the range.
