WD starts delivering SiliconDrive III SSD series

Western Digital has now come on the board to roll out their latest SiliconDrive III SSDs. This latest range of SSDs boasts of providing better read and write speeds with superior capacities and mechanical scalability.
The SiliconDrive III SSD, the company says, is touted to be suitable for built-in system and data streaming apps. It is included with Parallel ATA (PATA) drives and 2.5-inch Serial ATA (SATA). Besides, the SiliconDrive III is featured with 1.8-inch Micro SATA products, which come integrated with ATA-7 interfaces or native SATA 3.0 gigabits each sec (Gbps). With the utmost capacity of 120GB, these products boast of offering utmost 80 MBps write speeds and 100 MBps read speeds.
