It is in latest news that there will be a supply of around 356,800 virtualized desktops to schools across Brazil. This is only possible due to the Userful Multiplier software that has the capability to turn one computer up to 10 independent workstations effectively. This reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 15 tons per year and per system and electronic waste of up to 80%. This is what can be termed as Green Computing in today’s world of increasing carbon dioxide emissions and toxic waste materials from old electronic goods.
In the so called developing countries, this type of virtualization opens up huge scopes for the students by bringing computer access to millions. Moreover, it is relatively a low cost and sustainable method and eco-friendly too. Userful Multiplier is a low cost and energy saving solution ideal for schools, libraries, Internet cafes, government organizations, call centers and many other industries. With this software, each user is given the access to utilize the full power of the multi-core processor. Incases when more than one user requires the processor at the same time, the computer is smart enough to split its resources, so that all tasks are performed at equally faster speed.
Unlike other virtualization solutions that demands sacrifices in performance, the Userful Multiplier offers features of a full PC along with high performance video using standard PC hardware. This is all possible for less than $50 per each additional seat in case of large deployments, excluding monitors and keyboards. Juts by attaching extra monitors, mice and keyboards, additional users can now work on a single computer. The annual carbon dioxide emission saved by this deployment is equal to taking off 28,000 cars from the road or planting 41,000 acres of trees. A home version of Userful Multiplier software is however available, which can be downloaded free of cost.
