Yahoo! Mobile now available for iPhone

A step apparently aimed at popularizing the Yahoo! Mobile, the search engine giant, Yahoo has made this application available for more than 300 HTML enabled mobile phones including Apple’s high profile handset iPhone.
With this addition, the users can now stay connected with their friends, families and relatives directly from their handsets. They will also an access to Yahoo’s search service from their handsets. The search giant has also announced that it will show the preview of Yahoo! Messenger application for the iPhone.
With Yahoo Mobile applications, the users can add their favorite content and services such as websites, sports team, weather, stocks and horoscopes from the internet to their handheld devices. Not only, the popular application also brings Yahoo’s mobile search option, using which you can search your queries.
Apart from that, you can also access to your email, social networking sites, address book, calendar and other cool features in your handheld device.
David Ko, Senior Vice President at Yahoo! Mobile, was quoted as saying, “Consumers around the globe are demanding compelling mobile Internet services that offer increased personalization
He added, “To further capitalize on the market potential and continue our mobile lead-ership, we created Yahoo! Mobile, a dynamic starting point enabling consumers to dis-cover the world around them, stay connected through a variety of communication serv-ices, and customize content to define their Internet experience on mobile devices.”
With Yahoo! Mobile application, the iPhone users can send and receive instant messages, share photos, change status, add contacts, send emoticons and displays an idle status whi-le you use other iPhone applications. The users can buy the application from the Apple App Store. There is no word on pricing of the application.
The Yahoo! Mobile application is now available in seven countries. They are the US, India, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, Indonesia and Philippines.
