ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 2009 Review

Zone Alarm Internet Security 2009 has undergone some significant improvement over its previous year’s version. It is faster and lighter with new interface, provides security against real-world identity fraud. Although, it’s new interface includes basic options but ZoneAlarm continues to provide topnotch antivirus, firewall and antispam protection. However, it does not provide the Web 2.0 safe-browsing protection that makes it fall short of its competitors.

The ZoneAlarm has upped the ante with its new user interface. It is simple, clean and modern than its previous version. It gives you lot information with very few icons and without any clutter.

The ZoneAlarm provides you all the necessary tools that you need to keep you system protected and it also keeps your identity to be safe while surfing. The latest version is takes less booting time, and its antivirus and antispyware scans are also very quick. A game mode allows you to suspend all type of scans and low priority notices while playing online games which quite rare among other internet security suites.

Zone Labs maintains a large database of applications that enables ZoneAlarm to produce fewer alerts for application running on your system. It only alerts about unusual activity that’s what a user expects a good firewall to do.

The 2009 suite includes version 6.5 of real-world identity-theft program. ZoneAlarm’s Identity Fraud protection center helps you to identify the fraud and prevent it. It provides you a personal assistance if you become a victim of Identity Fraud. ZoneAlarm also includes Parental Control feature for those who don’t want children to filter Web sites and e-mail content.

But ZoneAlarm is not perfect suite as there is not antiphishing protection and tools for safe-surfing. For that Check Point’s ForceField provides a good option. So, a ZoneAlarm and ForceField bundle is a perfect Internet security suite. ZoneAlarm also lacks the feature of backing up data files.

With the purchase of ZoneAlarm Internet security 2009 you will get one year subscription of software updates and e-mail based support. You also get keyword- based support and access to user forums.

In the final analysis, Check Point ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 offers you a great protection for your system and is light on system resources.
